Hello, my name is Josie Bitar, born in Beirut and now living in a small village in the Suisse Alps—an inspiring contrast to my bustling hometown.

Drawing since childhood, I turned my passion into a career, earning a BA in graphic design in 2010. My work has taken me worldwide, from India to Europe, shaping my vibrant, retro-infused, dreamlike style.

I illustrate children’s books, exhibitions, posters, covers and more...

Always learning, currently exploring animation and video editing.

My "Little She" series for Folktale Week 2021 is among my favorites.

Beyond art, I love travel, hiking, skiing, yoga, cooking, and reading.

My absolute favourite books are Jane Austen’s. I've read all of her novels and watched every adaptation, whether it's a movie or a series. My dream is to one day visit her home in the UK.

Born and raised in the city, it will always hold a special place in my heart, but I can’t imagine living anywhere other than the countryside!

And most importantly, I cherish every moment with my 21-month-old son.
